Hello, My screen resolution is 640X480 in windows 7. I have an Intel D845GEBV2 and I am trying to install the Video Driver of this onboard video card. When I try to install it, it says: Your Operating system is not supported'.

Trying to install it with Compability test didn't work. When I tried to install it from the Update Driver in the Device Manager and then Locate the driver's folder and install it, it seems like it installs it but when windows restart, I can't see anything, black. Restarting windws 7 loads it back to 640X480. Any ideas how to fix it?

Has pointed you to the wrong drivers. The drivers he has pointed out are for the much newer 945G chipset. Your motherboard is uses the 845GE I'm not super familiar with your 845GE chipset, but it looks like you're in the same boat as everyone else with older XPDM video cards (video cards that lack native Vista/Win7 drivers). This thread has a detailed explanation of the problem: My advise is to run the standard Windows VGA driver for now, until Microsoft can fix the problem. You should be able to run up to 1024x768 with the Windows VGA driver.

I think that I have to install more updates of other things with DriverMax but everything is working well. I UPGRADED my Windows Vista installation and it worked well (except this Graphic Driver stuff). My computer is really old too:) I have all kind of shitty stuff on my computer and it works very well. Smnc, you ROCK. Now it's time for some Visual Studio 2008 moments (and maybe some Prince Of Persia). Unfortunately, Aero will NEVER work on older systems.

The Aero interface requires a fully complaint WDDM driver (WDDM 1.1 for Windows 7). Only newer video cards (DirectX 9 and better) have even a HOPE of running AERO, and even then most of them are not fully WDDM compliant.

The video that Intel is currently supporting for WDDM 1.1 is the 965 GMA series. Basically anyone with a 945 or older chipset is out of luck. We can only hope that the XDDM issues are worked out and that we get to use our older video systems with the acceleration enabled.fingers crossed. And if not, then, you know. The accelarator is disabled as you said so maybe it has any connection for that? Any Ideas why does the windows lock down when I start to see a movie? (AVI or something, not a stream).
