Hello, (sorry if this thread is dead) I followed all of the instructions in the README and the game will run, however, I am unable to create any ‘characters’ and I can’t get past the bedroom screen. I have tried using the ‘AA2 DLC Patch’ and it will make the character create work but, the game text will revert back into Japanese and I can’t seem to find a way to get it back to English, even after using all of the recommended ‘locale apps’ and changing the computers locale language. Is there a way to fix this?

Here’s what we found to make this work (hopefully): 1. After you downloaded the torrent, place “Artificial Academy 2” Into your Local Disk “C:/” 2. Rename it to “illusion” 3. Open “Patches and Tools” 4. Install “dotNetFx35setup” If you don’t have net.framework 3.5 (or higher) installed. Install “dxwebsetup.exe” If you don’t have direct x installed.
Install “HF pAppLoc1.1.2.exe” 6. Go to “And download “Artificial Academy 2 HF Patch 4.9” (Because this isn’t up to date, even though it says “latest on the title” 7. When you’re done downloading it, move it to “patches and tools”folder and delete version 2.3 8. Run “Artificial Academy 2 HF Patch 4.9” and click next until you get to the part where its asking for the location, replace the adress if its wrong with the current adress which should be C:/illusion/AA2Play Do the same with the other one, (Instead of “AA2Play” is “AA2Edit”). After that, scroll all the way to the bottom and check the 3 unchecked boxes. Run “ArtificialAcademy2-DLCHFPatch1.0.7” next and do the same for the location and the registry. You should be able to play it now, In AA2Play folder, right click the exe, called “AA2Play English” click where it says “Run with Japanese locale and administrator” Hope this helps.

You can do so without switching your entire system locale by downloading Applocale. 'HELP, I get a message saying Illusion software is only available for domestic users over 18!'
Run the game in Japanese locale. Illusion doesn't sell games to international audiences. 'HELP, my question isn't listed here!' These guys are wizards and have guides for just about everything.
